The third beta of Android 15 is now available for download. Beta 3 of the mobile phone operating system introduces platform stability, so it behaves very similar to the upcoming finished version. With the APIs ready, developers can now start testing their apps for Android 15.

There are no major new features in Beta 3 compared to previous versions, Google confirms this in a blog post. The passkey interface has simply been modified by Google so that it now requires one less action.
In general, comparatively few innovations can be expected in the new version of Android. Google released the first beta in April, in which apps were displayed borderless by default for the first time. System bars are displayed transparently. In addition, all applications can now be archived to save storage space. So far this only worked with packages from the Play Store, but in the future it will be possible with APKs as well. The system now also manages keys for end-to-end encryption.
The passkey interface will be faster with Android 15 Beta 3.

New security features in Android 15
Google announced the second beta of Android 15 at I/O in May. It brought with it several new security features, including a digital data vault called “Private Space” for sensitive apps. Apps stored there can be protected with an additional PIN. This means that unauthorized people who have an unlocked cell phone in their hands still don’t have access. Notifications from apps in Private Space can also be hidden.
A type of anti-theft protection is also new: If motion sensors in the cell phone detect that the smartphone has been torn from your hand and the thief is now running away, the smartphone automatically locks. Alternatively, Android cell phones can be remotely locked, found or, if necessary, reset to factory settings using the “Find my device” function.
Google announced the third beta for June or July, so the company is on schedule. The finished version is expected to arrive in late summer or early autumn. Users of some Android smartphones can already download the beta,
