Software developers are often the first to integrate new tools into their everyday work. According to surveys, despite concerns about security and copyright issues, most programmers already use AI coding assistants like ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot in their work.
“There has been no change in software development for a long time,” says Mario Rodriguez. As Chief Product Officer, he is jointly responsible for the AI strategy of the coding platform GitHub. “We still program in text files in sequential programming languages.” He says that GitHub now wants to change this status quo. The company sees a future in which software development will work without coding.
