A touch of Mac: Apple promises more powerful iPados 26

Apple clearly puts iPados on new legs: VWDC Developer Version 26 not only receives fresh liquid glass designs, but also cleanses long -term restrictions. Basic reforms include quite expanded window management. As the manufacturer announced, Windows receives traffic light control familiar with Macos and more flexibility.

More freedom for iPad Windows

The iPados now supports more open windows and exposes observation, also known from Mac, which collects all open windows in an observation and allows a quick selection. It can also be used in combination with the stage manager and supports the extended display when users connect the outer monitor to the iPad. “Full support” for the external screen is still available for iPads with only M-Chap of Apple.

Watches bring 26 motivational trainers, new designs and more comfort

Apple also promises better handling of files: the file app now enables standard applications to set some file types to open. The folder can be placed directly in the iPad dock with files to stay in the hand throughout the system. List views in the file app should also provide more information and thus a better observation. The preview app known by Macos also comes in the iPad, especially to handle PDF documents. And with a menu bar for apps, Apple brings another Mac element to the iPad, through which commands can be found and executed. According to the company, developers can adapt it to their app.

Another fundamental addition is extended background campaign: Apps can now perform performance-lustful tasks in the background, it is displayed as live activity. This first makes it possible to export a video project and change the app – so far the impossibility on the iPad in the final of Apple.

IPados 26: These iPads support Apple

The iPados 26 should also bring more flexibility to audio projects, including the option to select and change the input source. For the first time, it is also possible to record audio track locally in high quality, for example with video calls. The new iPad operating system also integrates innovations declared for iOS 26, Journal Diary App and a fresh calligraphy pen. IPados is expected to appear on 26 September. The update runs on iPad Pro (manufactured in 2018), iPad Air (from 2019), iPad (from 2020) and iPad Mini (from 2019).
