The workmanship of the Upright Ucare is reminiscent of monitor lamps in a slightly cheaper price range. It consists almost entirely of matte black plastic, which looks a little higher quality than it actually is. An interesting design feature is the hexagonal basic shape of the luminous cylinder. It is 400 mm long and has a diameter of 24 mm. It looks good.

The cylindrical lamp hangs in a holder which is quite simple and also looks a bit cheap. It fits monitors with a maximum thickness of 4 cm. The shape of the counterweight is reminiscent of a football. Despite the holder not having such a high-quality appearance, it securely holds the screen bar on the monitor.

The top of the Perfect UCare has four buttons for direct on/off, light temperature, and brightness. The latter can be adjusted in ten levels, and there are three levels for light temperature. It’s quick and easy; There is no separate remote control for this. Works without an app connection or features like RGB lights on the back.

A real disadvantage compared to other monitor lamps: with the Upright UCare monitor does not turn on automatically, only turns off. Here the user always has to manually press the corresponding button on the screen bar. Other models turn on as soon as power is applied to the USB-A port. It’s a shame that Perfect hasn’t implemented this convenient function.

The Perfect Ucare comes with a total of 84 LEDs, 42 each in cool white and warm white. Together, they ensure uniform illumination on the desk. This is one of the biggest features of this screenbar. We measured with a simple lux app on our smartphone and got a maximum value of 770 lux at a distance of 50 cm. This value is not absolute, but serves as a comparison with other monitor lamps we tested. With a maximum of 770 lux, it is not one of the brightest screen bars on the market, but the value is still good for a 40 euro lamp. At 120 degrees, the beam angle is a little larger and in rough positions it causes slight glare for the user or light reflection on the monitor – but with a little adjustment you can find the best position here.

It’s a real shame: unlike many competing models, the Perfect UCare monitor doesn’t automatically turn on and off. Here you always have to press the corresponding button on the screen bar yourself. We would also like a little more quality in the processing. The hexagonal light cylinder look is really eye-catching. Upon closer inspection, the workmanship sometimes looks a little cheap.
