Initially you get 8 million euros for this. They are taken from the 33 million euros that Culture and Media Commissioner Claudia Roth allocated in the 2024 federal budget to promote Germany as a gaming location.

In addition to financial expenses, scholarship holders can look forward to support in the form of workshops and coaching as well as networking opportunities. Anyone who wants to participate must apply between October 28 and November 17. More information will soon be available on a website for the “Press Start” project. The scholarship is organized by the Sports Industry Association.
Partnership for founders with German residence
Participation requirements include residence in Germany. Applicants must have established a company in the last 18 months or plan to start a company within the next 12 months. Student applicants must be close to completing their studies. A game concept or prototype must also be submitted along with the application form.
