The Dreame H13 Pro leaves a high-quality impression. The device is decorated in elegant black and muted (silver) gray colors and appears very stable due to its sturdy workmanship. As always, the Dreame relies on its cylindrical design, which looks attractive and also of high quality. The vacuum comes with a 900ml rear fresh water tank and a 700ml front dirty water tank, both of which are easily accessible and easy to fill or empty. The possibility of installing a dirt collector in the waste water tank is interesting. However, it is not pre-installed – we wonder why, after all it appears to offer no harm, only benefits. As the name suggests, it collects larger dirt particles, which then do not flow into the liquid waste water, but are retained beforehand. This can make cleaning easier.

The controls are located on the handle and allow you to easily control the device. LED display shows current cleaning mode and battery level. Practical: The contents of the display rotate – so when in use and viewed from above it is “right way up” and in a charging station it is the same way when you view it from the front of the device. The LED lighting on the brush ensures that even dark areas are well illuminated so that no dirt is visible. Moreover, the wiping roller with all white lighting looks quite stylish. As usual from the competition, the charging station also works for self-cleaning. The only thing that is noticeable here is the metal strip on the front below the wiper roller. It is heated and dried during the drying process ensuring greater hygiene. A replacement roller and cleaning solution are also included in the scope of delivery.

The DreamEye H13 Pro impresses with a suction power of 18,000 Pa and 520 rotations of the wiping roller per minute. In our testing, the vacuum was able to completely remove liquid contaminants after only one pass. Even stubborn, dried-on contamination was removed after four or five passes. Even tighter dirt can sometimes make more trips necessary, which is no different than competition. Automatic mode adapts cleaning performance directly to contamination, but sometimes shows a delay in detecting heavy contamination.

When cleaning wooden floors, it is important not to mop too wet to avoid damage. It works quite well with the Dreame H13 Pro. It always releases enough water so that there is no trace of mopping at the end, but the floor is not too wet. However, if you have expensive, sensitive floors, you should start cleaning carefully and work your way up gradually. However, such caution is unfounded on tiles or PVC. The vacuum mop is not for carpets – even though there is a dedicated suction mode. For example, this is for vacuuming up and drying a damp shower.

We were impressed by the cleanliness of the strips and edges of the Dreame H13 Pro. The device gets very close to the edges and removes dirt reliably. There is no need for wiping as the corner cleaning is done so thoroughly that all residues are completely removed.

The Dreame H13 Pro impresses with its powered wheels, which support movement and make cleaning particularly comfortable and easy. The time delay it takes for some competitors to go from moving backward to moving forward is minimally noticeable here. Instead, the drive comfortably supports the user and helps them achieve a consistent cleaning speed for consistent cleaning results. This makes the H13 Pro virtually idiot-proof with the front LED, which helps prevent collisions even in dark corners.

The device fits well in the hand and is overall comfortable to use. It is not very heavy, making it suitable for long-term cleaning jobs. However, the vacuum cannot be designed to lie completely flat, making some areas difficult to reach – such as under furniture. But only a few competitors do it better.

An excellent unique selling point of the Dreame H13 Pro is the ability to clean the roller with hot water and then dry it with heat and active air supply. Both functions contribute to hygiene, because most of the bacteria that arise and cause unpleasant odors during slow drying at room temperature and without active air supply are killed. A constant fan noise can be heard during drying, which is clearly heard over the competition, but not annoying in the next room. With the DreamEye model it only takes 30 minutes.

Hair is a big problem in many homes with pets. The Dreame H13 Pro showed in our tests that it could vacuum hair very well without getting it stuck in the roller. With the help of a special lip and comb the lint is easily removed from the roll and then vacuumed.

Maintenance of the Dreame H13 Pro is delightfully simple and user-friendly. The brush roll can be removed in just a few steps, making routine cleaning and replacement of the roll easy. A replacement roller is also included in the scope of delivery. All parts including the fresh water tank are easily accessible and there are no issues while emptying.

Dreame H13 Pro is equipped with a 4900 mAh battery. In Auto mode, we were able to clean floors for 25 to 40 minutes before the vacuum had to go back to the charging station. Charging time is approximately four hours.
