iPhone Accessories: Double Deck Charger and “Gameboy” Case | Heise Online

Unusual iPhone accessories in a double pack: Providers Bitmo Labs and Zens presented this week new peripheral products for Apple cell phones with a highly targeted target group. The first product is intended for users of retro games, the second for users who have a lot of iPhones in their home.

GameBaby Case from Bitmo Labs It is somewhat reminiscent of other special cases such as the Clix keyboard case. However, the aim here is to play with the iPhone as comfortably as possible. The solution currently available in pre-order for the iPhone 15 Pro Max (and later the iPhone 16 Pro Max) reduces the screen by almost half. Emulators such as Delta can run in the upper area, while physical buttons (including the control pad) can be used below.

GameBoy, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance and Nintendo Entertainment System layouts are supported. Bluetooth or cables are not necessary as the GameBaby case connects directly to the touchscreen. The preorder price is US$20, with $40 required later. A total of 7,000 games will be supported from the start, but a test will have to show how well they can actually be played.

Zen Se Quattro Charger Pro 4 This is also in the pre-order phase. This is probably the most comprehensive Qi2 charger on the market: it has a total of four storage areas on two levels that provide up to 15 watts. The system is Qi and Qi2 certified, so it also works with Apple’s MagSafe.

To ensure that the devices get enough power, a 65-watt power supply is included – whether this is a proprietary solution or USB-C first remains unclear. The hardware is made of recycled aluminum and is not exactly light at 745 grams, which prevents it from slipping. With the Quattro Charger Pro 4, Jens wants to appeal especially to families who can store and charge their iPhone in one place without creating cable clutter. MagSafe-enabled AirPods can also be charged; iPhones start from the 12th generation. The price is 180 euros, first deliveries are at the end of October.
