Sonos now keeps its users informed about the development progress of its app with a publicly viewable Trello board. The board combines release notes from previously released updates with a roadmap of future changes currently in development. You can also find help and support documentation there.

a new one Trello Board from Sonos A community manager at Sonos put together and Featured on Reddit. According to the post, he organizes the Trello board himself. He bases it on the announcements and release notes that Sonos has published in various places. The purpose is to compile this information in one place and provide a better overview of development progress.
The community manager also emphasizes that the list is not complete and that Sonos is working on additional features that are not listed there. Among other things, the Trello board lists TruePlay support for iOS 18 and improvements to the user interface as new features that are about to be released.
Peace offering to the community
The public Trello board can be seen as another peace offering to the Sonos community, which has been under fire since the failed launch of the new app in May. When the new app was released, many features such as the sleep timer, local music search and alarm clock were missing. The old app, which included all these features, can no longer be used since the new version was released. Many users therefore see the new Sonos application as an improvement on a worse situation.
For months, Sonos has been trying to limit the damage and make improvements. First, several developers tried to smooth things over in a forum FAQ. Finally, Sonos CEO Patrick Spence apologized personally in a forum entry.
“We know many of you have had significant problems with our new app,” Spence wrote in the post. “There isn’t a single Sonos employee who doesn’t mind letting you down.” Reports later surfaced that Sonos might bring back the old app as a temporary solution while the new one is being revised. This has not happened so far.
