OnePlusA global mobile phone company has introduced OnePlus Nord 4 at their summer launch event in Milan. It is the only all-metal device of the 5G era. It is available in three colors, and integrates up to 512 GB of RAM and a processor with powerful AI tools.
He says, “The OnePlus Nord 4 is a reflection of our commitment to offer the best devices to our users.” Kinder LiuPresident and COO of OnePlus.
The device is a masterpiece of metal design, measuring 7.99 mm thick and made from a single piece of milled aluminum. Many phones used to be made of metal, like the OnePlus 3T, but the arrival of 5G meant that smartphones needed more antennas, and that meant a design that used less metal and more glass. But OnePlus remembered the advantages that metal brought to technology, taking into account the needs of users. That’s why it created the OnePlus Nord 4, which brings various technological advancements: 50% more compact and smaller 5G antennas and a redesigned motherboard that helps the phone send and receive signals clearly.
Special Features
The OnePlus Nord 4 is available in three colours, known as Nordtones. Obsidian Midnight, in brushed bronze; Mercurial Silver has a laser-etched 2D design, which was created using over 28,000 precise laser strokes. Finally, the third Nordtone is Oasis Green, it has a unique two-tone colour scheme that looks vibrant and colourful.
Its heart is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chip, a processor that represents a qualitative leap compared to the standard Snapdragon 7 chips: it has a 65% faster CPU and a 130% faster GPU, as well as the Qualcomm AI Engine.
In measurements made with the AnTuTu benchmarking tool, it scores 1,500,000 points compared to 990,000 for the standard Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, which translates into excellent performance in gaming sessions and productivity. With up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of storage, users will not experience slowdowns.
It has the largest battery on a OnePlus Nord phone, 5,500 mAh with 100W SuperVOOC charging. This means it can charge from 1 to 100% in 28 minutes and deliver 5 hours of series viewing with a 5-minute recharge. The battery is also protected by the Battery Health Engine developed by OnePlus, which uses AI to keep it in top condition. This technology applies AI functionalities to analyze everything from the amount of energy entering the phone to when it reaches 100% charge. It is also designed to survive over 1,600 charge cycles for four years of use, with more than 80% of its original capacity.

AI Integration
OnePlus has integrated artificial intelligence into the OnePlus Nord 4. This includes its Trinity Engine software, which helps ensure good performance. It studies the phone’s CPU, RAM, and ROM and makes sure they are working at their maximum potential.
It includes AI productivity tools such as AI Speak and AI Summary, which help share information from multiple websites and apps, as well as AI Writer, which will create a longer message based on short prompts. It also integrates AI Recording Summary, which will take a recording of an hour-long meeting and turn it into a concise written summary in a matter of seconds, as well as produce a transcript.
Photographic AI and 50 megapixel Sony sensor
The OnePlus Nord 4 can also use AI to enhance images such as AI Eraser, which removes unwanted elements from images. It also has new capabilities such as AI Best Face, AI Clear Face, and AI Smart Cutout 2.0.
AI Smart Cutout 2.0 blends photos and adds a fun element to snapshots. Coming later this year, AI Best Face and AI Clear Face are designed to help improve photos where everything didn’t go as expected.
