New API platform It consists of two parts, on the one hand the control plane on the surface for simple API management via drag and drop, which belongs to the low-code segment. On the other hand, Boomi improves scalability and security in the underlying backend. The provider bought both parts, namely API startup APIIDA and Mashery gateway from TIBCO.

With the control plane, developers get a complete overview of the existing API landscape in the company. You can see which APIs are active, which ones are unnecessary (API sprawl), and which security policies they comply with. Security-critical shadow APIs frequently used by attackers have been exposed. The tool also shows data load and performance on the interface.
Managing APIs involves applying policies, controlling data and service resources, creating documents, and setting filters for targets and services. Users monitor gateways from Apigee, AWS, Azure, Boomi, Broadcom, Gravity, Kong, and WSO2 from a central location. According to the manufacturer, this central view makes it easier to uncover vulnerable teams and optimally distribute resources in the cloud.
Boomi also highlighted in the announcement that the new platform makes API marketing easier for product managers as they can create well-documented and secure products.
The US manufacturer, which will remain part of Dell until 2021, offers a low-code integration platform in the cloud to control various services and data sources. The name comes from the Hindu earth deity Bhumi.
