We were able to measure up to 650 NITs – which is enough except for strong sunlight. In HDR mode, more than 1500 NITs are included. The magic pad 2 reaches about 600 notes without automatic brightness.

The camera device of the magic pad 2 is rather simple. The rear is a 13-megapixel main camera, which at first glance looks like a dual camera-in fact, it is only a lens, complemented by an LED flash. The front camera dissolves with 9 megapixels. Overall, it matches more than an entry-level smartphone.

In daylight, the main camera gives considerable recording with warm colors and solid mobility. But as soon as the light disappears, the image noise increases and the fine details are lost. The selfie camera is well suited to video chat, but shows much less details than the main camera and also looks slightly thick grains with good lights. 4K video recording with both lenses is possible, but only with a maximum of 30 FPS.

Although the fastest chip does not serve as a drive, Snapdragon 8s 3 provides more than sufficient performance for the next few years. With PCMark Work 3.0, the tablet reaches 18,000 digits, and 3300 points in 3DMark Wildlife Extreme – a strong value for a tablet in this price range.

With 12 GB RAM and 256 GB memory, the device is succulent, but an extension is not possible through microSD. The interface has light and shadows: Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth are updated 5.3, but USB-C connection only supports USB 2.0-which slows down wired data transmission. A GPS module is also missing.

Honor Magic pads can perform 2 sound points: eight speakers provide ideal for strong and balanced sound – video streaming. Thanks to the Widewin Level 1, Netflix & Company is easily possible in full HD.

The magic pad 2 is based on Android 14 with Magic OS 8. By March 2025, an update of Android 15 with Magic OS 9 was not yet available. If you only watch the video with the device, the word is quite long. Thanks to 66 watts, it loades very quickly to a large tablet, so the battery is fully charged after two hours. There is no power supply, either it does not master charging wireless.
