For relatively low money, Poco X7 also offers IP68, a good camera and a sharp OLED display with 120 Hz.
The Poco X7 Poco X7 Pro gives itself place as a slimd -down variant and vary mainly in relation to the processor performance and design. As you are used from the lower brand of Xiaomi, the smartphone depends on a strong price-demonstration ratio. Already with goals 232 Euro Buyers get a solid equipment that easily competes with all normal everyday tasks and also gives decent pictures in the daylight. But where did Xiaomi set the red pencil – and Poco X7 specifically affects? We clarify this in our test report.
design
Poco X7 is equally designed for the series of the series, Xiaomi has bothering it to emphasize it alternately from the crowd. The erstwhile, Poco X6, was rather simple. The 2.5D display is rounded on the sides, as is back. As a result, the smartphone is well located in the hand, even if the round screen is no longer the taste of all. Visually, it varies angularly of the pro model.
A striking design feature is rectangular, firmly round camera fan at the back. Three lenses and an LED flash are placed here. We tested the model in silver. The back is not insensitive to a fully visible fingers. A dark brown protective cover is included. There are three variants of Poco X7: made of black synthetic leather with yellow stripes and made of shiny plastic in light green or silver.
With dimensions of 162.3 × 74.4 × 8.6 mm, Poco X7 is one of the larger smartphones, so that a -hinged operation is not always easy. However, the weight of 190 grams for this size is comparatively low. The housing is made of plastic, but looks processed by high quality and cleanliness. For the first time, Poco X7 is certified according to the IP68 and is therefore waterproofing. It can survive for 30 minutes at a depth of 1.5 meters in fresh water. Pre -Poco X6, only offered splash water protection according to IP54.
Display
The OLED display of Poco X7 with a diagonal of 6.67 inch provides surprisingly high resolution for its price. With 2712 × 1220 pixels, it offers a razor -shape display in 446 PPIs – a level that was recently rare in this price range. The fresh rate of 120 Hz ensures a liquid representation, while the quality of the image is almost a major level. In addition, the display is sufficiently bright to remain readable even in the sunlight. Xiaomi specifies the maximum brightness of 3000 knots.
Quarrel
Compared to the preceding, there are some changes in the camera equipment on Poco X7. The main camera uses a Sony IMX882 sensor with 50 megapixels and is also integrated a bright f/1.5 aperture, and optical image stabilization (OIS). The set-up is complemented by an 8-megapixel wide angle lens with f/2.2. A macro camera with 2 megapixels is added, but the marketing trick to specify the triple camera is more as a marketing trick, as it rarely brings benefits. A 20 -megapixel front camera with f/2.2 is available for selfie.
Thanks to pixel-binning, the main camera summarizes four pixels in one, so that 12.5 megapixel photos are made by default. Alternatively, full 50 megapixel resolution can be used. In daylight, Poco X7 distributes sharp pictures with many details and natural color rendering. Digital double zoom also saves adequately sharp photos. In the event of poor light, the image is the loss of noise and expansion, but overall the results of the value range are solid.
Wide angle lens colors are significantly reduced in the case of fidelity and dynamic range, and it also goes to a yellow tinge. Macro camera only brings limited use as resolution is low. On the other hand, selfie, works well, with attractive sharp and a decent bokeh in portrait mode. Poco X7 takes up to 4K videos in 60 FPS, in which stabilization is assured. However, autofocus is weakened in video recording.

Macro is cut from the camera that rarely provides any additional value. Videos are suffering from focusing on problems and in the dark, photos make strong noise.
